4510 Matoaka Lane, Saint Leonard, MD, 20685, United States

The entire wedding (ceremony, party, accommodations) is happening at Matoaka Beach Cabins. Formerly a girl scout camp, Matoaka is now a privately owned and operated bay-front getaway in Calvert County. It’s very low key.

We have all of the cabins and campsites booked from June 21-28, though the beach will still be open to the public in the daytime. We’d love all of you to stay there (think of it as a summer camp diy wedding slumber party). We are asking everyone to contribute $90 per person (whether camping or cabin-ing) and you are welcome to stay for as many days and nights as you’d like.

Please note: pets are NOT permitted on Matoaka property - Please leave your furry friend at home!!!

Saint Leonard is a 1-1.5 hours drive from any three of the major airports around DC and Baltimore (BWI, DCA, or IAD).

Accommodations

In the RSVP form, you will be asked to select “cabin, camping or either.” Think of this choice as where you sleep. If you sleep in a tent, you will still be able to use the kitchen and bathroom of a cabin.

Cabins

Rustic. There are eight small cabins that each have a screened-in porch, small kitchen, bathroom and shower. The sleeping arrangements can be thought of as communal deluxe summer camp living (no private rooms). There will be one ‘Quiet Cabin’ for anyone who goes to bed on the early side and maybe a “scent free” cabin if needs are such. Cabins are not furnished with linens nor kitchen implements but do have coffee machines, a kitchen stove, microwave, oven, refrigerator. No AC. Screened in but not ‘bug proof’.

Camping

There are several camping sites that are near the cabins that include fire pits. If you prefer more privacy and are comfortable with camping, we encourage you to bring your glamping gear!

$90 flat rate per person for however long you want to stay. Venmo @Layla-Marcelle (or e-transfer) when you RSVP.

Once we get all of the RSVPs, we will coordinate sleeping arrangements and send out packing lists + additional details.

Covid protocol and procedures will be established at the beginning of June based on the circumstances then.

If cabins and camping are really not your thing, that’s ok! There are hotels nearby.
